Maintenance Foreman
Maintenance Foreman Objective Lead and manage maintenance operations for electrical and mechanical systems within manufacturing equipment. Drive troubleshooting initiatives and diagnostic processes to maintain optimal machine performance and product quality standards. Responsibilities + Direct daily operations of maintenance staff and technicians + Foster a culture of workplace safety and hazard awareness + Recruit, onboard, and develop maintenance team members + Plan work assignments and scheduling based on equipment priorities, workload volume, and team capabilities + Oversee maintenance facility inventory and working conditions to ensure safety compliance + Procure replacement parts and repair materials as required + Investigate equipment breakdowns and conduct machinery testing using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters + Evaluate test data, system alerts, and operator feedback to identify equipment malfunctions + Execute Root Cause Analysis protocols to determine failure points and establish corrective measures + Support capital investment planning through equipment performance data and upgrade recommendations + Document all maintenance activities and generate operational reports including productivity metrics, inventory tracking, and maintenance statistics + Create and refine maintenance protocols and standard operating procedures + Contribute to departmental budget planning and project cost estimation + Verify completion quality and timeliness of all maintenance work + Provide guidance to staff on work-related challenges and skill development + Conduct incident investigations and prepare comprehensive findings reports Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering -OR- equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience + 5+yrs of maintenance experience in machine shop operations + 3+yrs of supervisory experience in unionized environment (preferred) + Comprehensive understanding of PLC, CNC, and NC machinery systems + Advanced analytical and troubleshooting capabilities + Strong foundation in mechanical and electrical systems + Proficiency in equipment assessment and repair determination + Leadership and team management experience + Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, CMMS platforms, and Oracle systems + Experience with machine programming languages (M code, G code) + Blueprint reading and technical specification interpretation skills #M1 Ref: #282-Eng Pgh System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, CM Access, TPGS, and MOUNTAIN, LTD., are leaders in delivering workforce solutions and integrated services across North America.
