About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a well-rounded Fitter to join our Cheltenham Plant. In this role, you will conduct maintenance on all aspects of the site, including state-of-the-art mixing plants, packaging lines, and all utilities areas.

This role may suit a recently qualified tradesperson.

The hours of work will be 6am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday, 9-day fortnight. You will also have the opportunity for overtime.

Your responsibilities will include:

Troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves and pumps

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, safety checks, and equipment modifications

Work with Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs) and CMMS systems for preventative maintenance

Assist with root cause analysis and breakdown analysis

Ensure operational safety devices and guards are on equipment

Efficient and timely repair of production equipment

Contribute to continuous improvement of preventative maintenance program

Accurately document all maintenance activities

Effective communication with team members and internal customers

Adhere to plant safety rules and good housekeeping practices

Our ideal candidate may have:

A Trade qualification with welding/machining experience

Fitting experience in a manufacturing environment

A deep understanding of safety responsibilities and procedures

The ability to solve problems
