Maintenance Engineer - Days Knottingley Plant Role description:

Carry out the engineering setup, repair and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and systems on factory equipment and services to ensure efficient and reliable operation of the plant.

Responsibilities: Comply with Health and Safety Procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Carry out maintenance activities (PPM, Continuous Improvement & Repairs). Prepare equipment ready for efficient job changes, planned maintenance & repairs. Perform job change engineering functions; equipment changes, setup and adjustments to maintain efficient operations and minimise downtime. Identify and repair equipment faults. Communicate effectively with employees to maintain an effective well-informed team. Carry out housekeeping as required in accordance with Company Hygiene Rules. Required skills / qualifications: Experienced Apprentice Trained Engineer (level 3). Mechanically biased maintenance engineer preferred. Previous experience of equipment & process knowledge in FMCG desirable. Fault finding & analytical skills on electromechanical equipment. Understanding of lean manufacturing / continues improvement methodology. Ability to interpret engineering documentation. Computer literate and awareness of relevant computer systems: APS, PIC, CMMS (SAP). Excellent communication & analytical skills. Personal & professional drive for success.
