Job Title: Maintenance Electrician
Job Description
The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, upkeep, and safety of all facilities and equipment across office spaces, fabrication shops, and production areas. This role involves performing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and supporting fabrication processes. The technician will work in compliance with OSHA safety standards, environmental regulations, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in production equipment, including motors, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, heaters, fabrication machines, etc.Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime.Diagnose and correct electrical faults using meters, schematics, and control diagrams.Install new electrical equipment, wiring, control panels, and power distribution components.Assist with equipment upgrades, line modifications, and commissioning of new machinery.Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and company electrical safety standards.Configure, calibrate, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and automated control systems used in food processing.Work with maintenance and engineering teams to implement process improvements.Maintain documentation, including wiring diagrams, PLC programs, and equipment logs.Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bakersfield, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
