We boldly go. **Where is the work:** On-Site (5 days) Performs any combination of **(but not limited to)** the following duties according to specific department guidelines: **Primary Responsibilities** + Determine the existence of electrical hazards and problems. Safely isolate, ground, and prepare circuits and electrical apparatus to enable repairs. + Have knowledge of and use the required personal protective equipment to protect against arc flash and shock. + Experience in reading and troubleshooting from blueprints & schematics with system voltages 240 and 480 three-phase systems. + Troubleshoot and maintain motor control centers, motor start circuits, control loops, generators, high voltage switchgear, protective relaying, and related equipment. + Read/interpret engineering drawings and manuals to install, calibrate and maintain electrical apparatus. Work from complex engineering and manufacturers drawings or manuals to complete projects and assigned work. + Install electrical conduit, pull and terminate wiring. + Ability to use electrical/electronic testing equipment to such as multi-meters, ammeters, megohm meters, high potential testers, oscilloscopes, digital probes to troubleshoot and repair equipment. + Use hand and power tools related to the electrical trades. + Install and maintain control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, and control panels. + Install and maintain drive systems such as variable frequency drives, eddy current, and DC drives. + Install and maintain (point to point wiring, equipment replacement) programmable logic control systems (PLC). + Install and calibrate pressure, temperature, flow, and level controls. + Observe installed systems to detect hazards and determine the need for adjustments or modifications. + Design layout work on panels, set up complex control systems, interpret and alter engineering drawings and wiring diagrams if required. + Repair or replace faulty electrical equipment, including electronic controls, meters, outlets, panels and small mechanical devices such as motors. + Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. + Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. + Effectively communicate problems and solutions to resolve electrical problems. + Participate in the on-the-job training of line mechanics and apprentices as needed. + Use computerized maintenance system to retrieve and enter information. + Observe safe work practices and ensure work does not endanger others. + This role is considered safety sensitive. **Qualifications** + High School Diploma or GED + 3-5 years of electrical industrial maintenance experience + Journeyman’s License or equivalent degree preferred + Proficient reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics + Experience troubleshooting PLC’s + Ability to work overtime as needed We offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits and programs.
