We are hiring an overnight Security/Maintenance Engineer
The Overnight Maintenance Duty Engineer is responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility during overnight hours. This role also includes responsibilities in loss prevention and security, ensuring the safety of guests, staff, and property. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of responding to maintenance issues and security concerns with professionalism and urgency.
Role Summary:
Position is responsible for maintaining the functionality and safeguarding of hotel property, assets, guests, visitors and our associates.
Some Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Duties:
Perform routine inspections and minor repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests. Monitor building systems and report any irregularities or urgent issues. Conduct overnight rounds to ensure all equipment and systems are operating properly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools. Document all maintenance activities in the overnight log.Loss Prevention & Security Duties:
Conduct regular patrols of the property, including parking areas, back-of-house, and public spaces. Monitor security cameras and access points. Respond to incidents involving theft, trespassing, or suspicious activity. Ensure all doors, gates, and access points are secured during overnight hours. Assist in emergency situations (fire alarms, medical emergencies, evacuations). Complete incident reports and communicate with management as needed.Core Competencies:
