We have a fantastic position available for a versatile candidate who enjoys a varied job role and working as part of a team. Supporting two principals on their country estate, your role would be split roughly 50/50 between carrying out estate maintenance work and driving duties.
This is a Monday to Friday role working 8am to 5pm, there is a need for flexibility for some evenings, weekends, and overnight stays but this will be paid as overtime.

Maintenance
Property maintenance to include miscellaneous repairs, fixes, fault reporting and remedial work Grounds maintenance to include fence repairs, hedge cutting, wood chopping, vegetation clearance, and woodland management Point of contact and key holder for alarm systems Arrange and oversee contractors and engineers Assist with adhoc tasks such as dog walking, caring for chickens, assisting other staff members on the estate, and occasionally carrying out work in the London propertyDriving
Driving the principals on local and national journeys By pre-arrangement driving the principals overseas Manage the estate fleet to include carrying out general inspections, booking in for services and MOTs, and ensuring all cars are clean, fueled and ready to go Liaise with house yard/transport manager for horsebox maintenance when requiredCountry Pursuits
Maintain the principal’s sporting equipment including shotguns, rifles, and fishing equipment Accompany the principals in shooting and fishing trips throughout the season with several overnight stays Maintenance and preparation of guns/ammunition, loading at shoots, and looking after the dogs when requiredCandidate specification:
Proven experience in grounds, property, and woodland maintenance, as well as vehicle maintenance This role will be perfect for a candidate who enjoys a busy role, working as part of a team, who can use their own initiative, and has excellent communication skills Clean driving licence essential, with tractor and farm equipment experience Chainsaw licence/qualification preferred (qualification otherwise to be supported) Shotgun certificate essential Firearms licence preferred (otherwise application to be supported)DBS check required at offer stage
