Purpose of the Role
BGIS is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Coordinator to deliver responsive and compliant facilities maintenance across a high-profile energy infrastructure contract. Based full-time on site in Chinchilla, you will report directly to the Operations Manager and play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering both preventative and reactive maintenance services.
The successful candidate will enjoy autonomy on site, build strong subcontractor relationships, and thrive in a collaborative team that values reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and deliver preventative and reactive maintenance activities Ensure compliance with safety standards and BGIS systems Liaise with subcontractors, the client, and the BGIS team to deliver high-quality outcomes Assist in permit-to-work creation, daily reports, and helpdesk response Conduct asset inspections and minor maintenance works as neededEducation, Experience & Skills
Essential:
Experience in a facilities or property maintenance environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with OH&S and quality systems Able to multitask, prioritise and meet KPIs under pressure Current driver’s licenceDesirable:
Trade background (electrical or mechanical preferred) General handyman experience in carpentry, tiling, or plumbing Formal training in WHS, QA, or Environmental systemsWhy Join BGIS?
