When we do everything in service of our patients and caregivers, no detail gets ignored. Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Control Shift Supervisor will lead assignments and execution of work for daily operations in facilities, coordinate departmental work goals, provides recommendations for staff and resource allocation, and serves as liaison between Facilities and other departments as required to provide exceptional customer service.
A caregiver in this position works weekdays 10:30PM - 7:00AM, with on-call requirements as needed plus rotational weekends and holidays.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide shift planning and scheduling of all Facilities work activities including: Preventative Maintenance Requests, Corrective Maintenance Requests, Service Calls, Emergencies, Projects, etc. to provide proper alignment, prioritization, and utilization of resources.
Communicate and coordinates work plans between other shift supervisors and shop supervisors in order to move decision making and accountability throughout the organization.
Utilize innovative approaches to problem solving and execution of work.
Assist with data collection, monitoring of quality and quantity of work and analysis of data to identify improvements and needs of workload/performance trends on an ongoing basis. Provide reports to communicate metrics.
Identify recommendations for productivity and cost improvements.
Focus and guide skilled trades' employees in accomplishing work objectives.
Holding high expectations for self and others.
Create an environment where people can realize their full potential.
Assist with budget oversight and inventory of equipment and materials for maintenance control.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma / GED or equivalent required.
Six years of plant engineering or trade experience in an industrial, commercial or hospital setting.
Experience with MS Office, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and programs associated for tracking with a CMMS system.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or related field preferred.
Previous supervisory experience in a large hospital or applicable plant operations setting preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
Ability to be mobile for extended periods of time
Ability to travel throughout the Cleveland Clinic health system
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
