Maintenance/Continuous Improvement Summer Intern

The Maintenance/Continuous Improvement Intern will work closely with the Maintenance Manager assisting in plant day to day activity’s focusing mainly on maintenance and plant performance improvements. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

Assist team in identifying process improvements. Assist with preventive maintenance optimization strategy.Assist with maintenance inventory JDE optimization.Assist maintenance with implementation of new automation projects (if any).Assist with plant safety policy training and policy enforcement when contractors are on site.The student may be required to work at other WestRock Facilities during this term.Other duties as assigned


The ideal candidate will be flexible, dependable, committed to working safely, have a strong work ethic, quality conscience, and have the desire & ability to work in a fast paced.  Must be able to work May – August.

Must be at least 18 years of age and enrolled in post-secondary educationExcellent eye for detailAble to work in an environment where there could be a high degree of variation, noise and dustExcellent team workerHave excellent computer skills including Microsoft OfficeExcellent attendance is required to fulfill operation needs
