Maintenance & Construction Coordinator
**Job Description** **Harborview** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Maintenance & Construction Coordinator.** **WORK SCHEDULE** + 100% FTE + Mondays - Fridays + Day Shift **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION** _​_ Harborview Facilities Engineering: Our goal is to respond in a timely manner to your building maintenance needs; to make alterations and repairs to the systems needed to maintain patient care and a healing environment at Harborview. **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS** + Become a part of an exceptional team supporting mission-critical care at our region's only Level 1 Trauma and Verified Burn center, and King County's "safety net" hospital **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBLIITIES** + Assist in overseeing craft supervisors in construction and maintenance + Follow up on departmental inquiries and complaints to effect remedial actions and timely project completions + Collaborate with physical plant management personnel to coordinate engineering functions with construction and maintenance activities + Review, write and schedule work orders and maintenance requests + Assist in building inspections and data collecting to determine necessary repairs and project costs + Conduct surveys, analyze systems and prepare reports on maintenance, construction, planning and estimating, utility production, motor pool, budgetary, and related activities **REQUIREMENTS** + Five years of work experience in physical plant operations. + College training with a major in business administration, mechanical engineering or an allied discipline may be substituted, year-for-year, for up to four years of the work experience. + Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration. **ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER** As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
