The pay for the position: $21.00 - $22 per hr.

The starting pay rate is: $21.00/hr

Schedule: Night Shift, Sunday – Thursday, 6pm – 2:45am

As a US FOODS® Maintenance Battery Changer, you will be responsible for safely performing duties to light repair on production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

High school diploma/GED preferredMinimum 1-year experience preferred performing preventive maintenance or must be willing to be trained on MHE and PM repairsGood interpersonal skills to establish and maintain co-worker relationshipsAbility to read and follow written instructions in EnglishAbility to work varied shifts and a flexible schedule, including nights and weekendsDemonstrated ability to maintain good attendance and punctuality on the jobCandidates must be willing to learn materials handling equipment (MHE) and facility PM service repairs and have a willingness to be trained.Must be able to get along with co-workers and respond to repair needs throughout the shift.Work with Operations management and other departments in a positive, productive manner.Must be able to work Sunday through Thursday nights (in most locations) Must be able to work overtime, weekends, holidays as needed.Must be able to communicate in English to receive and follow directions, interface with suppliers, and complete required paperwork for maintenance performed. Positive attitude, ability to work under pressure, and good attendance are required.Good organization skills, detail orientated for accuracy.

Park and charge production equipment at the start of the shift.Maintain the cleanliness of the battery area.Water all the production equipment batteries.Responsible for repairing transportation two-wheel hand dollies.Responsible for supporting the maintenance team with light facility and equipment repairs.Other facility and material upkeep as assignedThe physical demands of the job require standing for long periods of time, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and lifting. Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $21.00/hr - $22/hr.
