What You'll Do:

Event & Activity Support

Set up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment for sports, meetings, and special eventsEnsure all areas are clean, organized, and ready for the next scheduled activity

Facility & Grounds Maintenance Responsibilities

Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, changerooms, hallways, and activity areasRestocking essential supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paperRegularly removing garbage and recycling to maintain a tidy environmentMaintaining outdoor areas through sweeping, litter pickup, and snow removal as neededAssisting facility operators and lead hands with general maintenance tasks and special projects

Customer Service

Respond to customer inquiries and concerns, including providing directions and information about the facilityAddress service requests from staff and customers in a timely and helpful mannerGreet and interact with customers in a friendly, respectful, and approachable mannerMaintain a calm and courteous attitude, even in busy or challenging situations

Ice Rink Support

Assist with cleaning and maintaining a smooth, safe ice surfaceSet up nets, temporary boards, and other rink equipment as neededHelp keep rink areas clean, organized, and safe for all users

Health & Safety

Proactively identify and report health and safety issuesEnsure safety procedures and protocols are followedCommunicate delays or complications clearly and promptlyAssist in emergencies (e.g. power outages)

 

What We’re Looking For

No previous experience required — we provide full trainingA positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skillsReliable, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a teamComfortable working in active and occasionally cold environments (like ice rinks)Physically able to lift/move equipment and stay on your feet during shiftsEmployees are required to wear CSA approved Green Patch safety footwear while working for the Corporation and will be required to supply footwear at their own expense. 

Please note that successful candidates, who are new hires and/or who have not performed in this position previously will be required to provide a satisfactory criminal record check, with vulnerable sector screening, dated within the last 30 days as a condition of employment.
