About Our Home:

Situated just a stone’s throw from historic Charlton Park in The Royal Borough of Greenwich, Charlton Park Care Home is a warm and welcoming nursing home offering a spacious and comfortable environment and 24-hour care and support for older adults.

We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week).

Job Summary:

The post holder is to ensure the premises and grounds are maintained to a high standard and provide the residents with a safe, comfortable and pleasant environment in which to live. Maintain all record in accordance with company policies, procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

Maintaining the building and equipmentMonitor and respond to the fire alarm call, boilers and liftMake effective and efficient use of resources in any maintenance or repairReport and record all relevant informationTo conduct Banking and purchase of small items for the homeMaintain the building, grounds and equipment to ensure the safety of residents, staff and visitors to the HouseMaintain good communication and relationships with other teams and colleagues at the HouseMaintain awareness of the Home's policies and procedures especially the Fire PolicyParticipate in Training and Development as an individual and as a part of the teamGet involved in the induction of the new staff by training them on the building layout and fire policies and proceduresMaintain client and business confidentiality at all timesControl and ordering of stock and acceptance and checking of deliveriesMaintain an awareness of the Health and Safety requirementsObserve and maintain high levels of communication within the teams of staff, individual colleagues and residentsTo carry out any additional duties as requestedTo undertake any additional training and development programmes the Home may consider appropriate to enhance your contribution to the work at this homeTo review on a regular basis the job description for your post and to agree any changes
