JLG is seeking a motivated high school student interested in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, and equipment troubleshooting to join the Maintenance team as an apprentice. This hands-on opportunity provides real-world experience in an industrial setting while developing foundational skills in equipment maintenance, problem-solving, and facility upkeep.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
• Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Shadow full-time maintenance technicians to learn diagnostics and repairs on machines, equipment, cranes, hoists, and specialized tools.
• Electrical Fundamentals: Develop understanding of 3-phase to single-phase electricity, read electrical prints and symbols, and use a multimeter for testing.
• Robotics & Automation: Assist with robotic troubleshooting and basic robotic operations.
• Preventative Maintenance (PM): Learn the importance of PM programs, perform upkeep on production equipment, and use computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) for work orders.
• Environmental Responsibility: Follow safe waste disposal practices and contribute to facility safety initiatives.
• Facility & General Maintenance: Assist with painting, cleaning, and organizing spare parts to support overall maintenance operations.
• Safety & Organization: Maintain workplace organization (6S), follow PPE requirements, and support safety/quality improvements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
• General knowledge of hand tools and their applications.
• Punctual, detail-oriented, and able to work in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn new technical concepts.
• Basic computer skills for managing maintenance tasks in a digital system.
• Interest in mechanical, electrical, or maintenance-related careers—preferably planning to attend trade school, college, or enter the workforce in a maintenance role.
