**The Position**
**The Opportunity**
As a Maintenance Administrative and Kanban System Coordinator, you will provide administrative and clerical support related to the maintenance department activities. You maintain accurate documentation, timely data entry, and support for purchasing critical components. Your role ensures smooth day-to-day operations, prevents delays in maintenance and inventory management, and upholds compliance and traceability standards.
In this position, you are also:
+ Developing, implementing, and maintaining Kanban systems across designated work areas and processes, as well as for managing maintenance spare parts across storage areas and service locations.
+ Monitoring Kanban signals, bin levels, and reorder points to ensure timely restocking of critical spare parts and prevent equipment downtime due to stockouts. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to material flow, lead time reduction, and space optimization.
+ Analyzing historical usage data, failure rates, and maintenance trends to adjust Kanban card limits and quantities for optimal inventory levels. Conduct routine audits of Kanban bins, cards, and visual controls to ensure accuracy, part availability, and compliance with system standards.
+ Collaborating closely with procurement, supply chain, and vendor partners to align ordering processes with Kanban replenishment triggers and ensure supplier responsiveness.
+ Troubleshooting and adjusting as needed the Mechanical, Electrical and software-related issues on GenMark’s ePlex Cartridge and Consumable manufacturing equipment and systems
**Who You Are**
+ You hold a High School Diploma (required) OR a technical/trade school degree (preferred) and have at least 2 years of experience in maintenance/reliability planning & scheduling in a GMP/FDA-regulated area
+ Experience on electro-mechanical equipment repair, troubleshooting, systems calibrations, and/ or preventive maintenance
+ Experience with a computerized maintenance management system

The expected salary range for this position, based on Carlsbad, CA is 40,700.00 - 57,452.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
