Maintenance/Manufacturing Administrator (Contract Role)

Job Description

Maintenance Administrator contract position. You will be responsible for documenting and inputting data related to machinery maintenance into a newly implemented Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This role involves learning about shop machinery, taking photographs, gathering serial numbers, and creating maintenance work instructions. You will work closely with the maintenance manager but are expected to independently manage data entry tasks.

Responsibilities

Take and input photos of shop machinery and equipment.Gather and document information related to machinery maintenance.Upload data into a new CMMS for the first time.Walk the shop floor to learn about the machinery and document serial numbers.Create and enter maintenance work instructions or SOPs into the system.Collaborate with the maintenance manager for maintenance interval schedules and work instructions.Enter data independently with minimal assistance.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in data entry and administrative support.Strong technical skills, including computer data entry and typing.Ability to upload photos and work with maintenance management systems.Experience in a manufacturing environment.Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience with Maintenance Management Systems is a plus.Experience in maintenance planning or scheduling is beneficial.Comfortable being on the shop floor in a hot environment around machinery while wearing PPE.This is a 3 - 5 month contract position.

Work Environment

You will work in a manufacturing facility that is hot, dirty, and loud. However, the computer work will be conducted in an air-conditioned office attached to the shop floor. Expect to spend 50% of your time on your feet on the shop floor, taking pictures and notes on machinery and maintenance schedules. The working hours are from 6am to 2:45pm, Monday to Friday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
