**Job Summary:**
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and systems. This role includes performing routine preventative maintenance, responding to service requests, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the property remains clean, safe, and functional.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
+ Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including appliances, lighting, and basic electrical and plumbing
+ Complete resident or staff maintenance requests in a timely manner
+ Prepare vacant units for new residents (make-ready work)
+ Maintain exterior grounds, including trash pickup, snow removal, and landscaping assistance
+ Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately
+ Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent
+ Monitor inventory of tools and supplies; report needs for reordering
+ Assist with special projects and emergencies as needed
**Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certifications a plus)
+ 1–3 years experience in maintenance, construction, or related field
+ Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repair
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions
+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
+ Good communication and customer service skills
+ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required)
**Preferred Skills (Optional):**
+ EPA HVAC certification
+ CPO (Certified Pool Operator)
+ OSHA 10 or 30 certification
**Pay Details:** $18.00 per hour
