Job Description:
This job is responsible for supporting multiple security engineering efforts, focused on encryption and digital certificate management, to deliver enterprise security capabilities. Key responsibilities include supporting the design, development, and implementation of systems contributing to the protection of systems, devices, and sensitive data. Job expectations include delivering milestones on engineering initiatives, partnering with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for collaboration, and solving complex issues within one or more security domains with moderate oversight.
Responsibilities:
With a focus on mainframe encryption and digital certificate management:
Designs, develops, and implements systems to contribute to the protection of system boundaries, harden computer systems and network devices against attacks, and secure sensitive dataDrives complex technical information security projects to ensure on-time deliveryIdentifies and raises risks and potential vulnerabilities at all stages of the security engineering processLeverages knowledge of information security technologies, techniques, and processes while continuing to grow knowledge within one or more security engineering domainsIdentifies, defines, and documents system security requirementsWorks closely with a diverse set of stakeholders with varying priorities to debate and negotiate paths forwardThinks outside the box to develop multiple solutions to complex problemsRequired Qualifications :
5 years supporting or administering mainframe infrastructure systems3 years experience using mainframe security products as a technical or provisioning support person.3 years experience working in a financial service, insurance, or other highly regulated industry.Background in support of security and risk in a mainframe environmentAbility to use general Office Suite products on a Windows based computerAbility to participate in off-hour rotating on-call scheduleAbility to work independently and on a team.Desired Qualifications :
5 years hands on experience installing, configuring, and/or administering mainframe encryption technologies5 years hands on experience developing and managing digital certificates through mainframe security technologiesExperience working with external digital certificate consumers to ensure appropriate encryption/certificate is applied to data transmissions.Experience analyzing mainframe systems and applications to ensure proper encryption and certificate management is applied.Knowledge of BMC Remedy or IT Service Management Tool.Skills:
