Job Description We are hiring multiple Senior Mainframe Developers to join a newly funded initiative supporting Global Wealth & Investment Management platforms. These roles are part of a strategic buildout focused on maintaining and evolving core mainframe applications as legacy experts transition out of the organization. You’ll be responsible for hands-on development, production support, and technical leadership across a portfolio of high-impact applications. This includes incident management, root cause analysis, operational readiness, and coordination with global teams. Candidates must bring deep COBOL expertise and a proactive mindset to drive resolution and knowledge transfer. Key Responsibilities • Provide hands-on development and support across COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS, IMS DB/DC, MQ Series, and Easytrieve • Lead troubleshooting, escalation management, and root cause analysis for complex production issues • Support operational readiness, monitoring, analytics, and governance across 100+ applications (with focus on 6 critical systems) • Facilitate meetings, moderate technical discussions, and coordinate with offshore/onshore teams • Participate in 24x7 incident and problem management rotation • Contribute to change configuration management and associate support • Mentor junior associates and contribute to SME-level knowledge development • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify risks, escalate issues, and drive resolution We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements • 5+ years of hands-on COBOL development experience • Strong command of JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS, IMS DB/DC, MQ Series, Easytrieve • Experience with IBM tools: Endeavor, File Manager, Fault Analyzer • Proven success in production support, incident management, and SLA-driven environments • Ability to lead triage efforts and resolve “production down” situations • Excellent problem-solving skills and entrepreneurial attitude • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Experience coordinating across global teams and delegating work effectively • Exposure to REXX scripting • Experience in banking or financial services environments • Familiarity with IBM utilities and mainframe architecture • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and L3 application support standards null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
