Mainframe Developer
Location: Rockville, Maryland

ALTA IT Services is seeking a highly experienced Z/OS Mainframe Developer with deep expertise in Assembler, COBOL, and CICS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services systems and thrive in an Agile development environment.

Required Qualifications: Minimum 10 years of experience in: COBOL DB2 Command-Level CICS JCL Batch processing TSO/ISPF Extensive hands-on experience with Assembler, COBOL, and CICS in a Z/OS Mainframe environment Strong coding skills with proven adherence to development standards Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies Experience with FIS OPF (Open Payments Framework) for ACH processing FIS Connex experience is a plus, but not require Responsibilities: Analyze, define, and document technical designs Design and develop new applications and integrate enhancements Maintain and monitor systems post-deployment Prepare test data, conduct testing, and debug code Troubleshoot and resolve application issues Conduct research and provide technical recommendations Participate in full-cycle application development Preferred Skills: Experience with Serena ChangeMan ZMF Development experience with IBM Mainframe Assembly language and Concept 14 macros Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Effective verbal and written communication Ability to manage conflicting priorities and adapt to changing requirements Proficiency with database and presentation to
