Mailroom Records Management Associate

**JOB SUMMARY**
This position is responsible for implementing policies and procedures regarding records storage, sharing, transmission, and destruction. Utilize existing records management systems and procedures to determine current effectiveness and efficiency; identifies and recommends improvements. This position will be preparing document routing forms, scanning, and archiving documents in support of the GSC. This role is a cross-functional role in the Office Services team and will have mailroom responsibilities as instructed.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Sort, prep and deposit checks into High Radius and the Corporate/SMS account and answer inquiries regarding check deposits
+ Perform record management activities, such as scanning, validating, archiving and retention
+ Accept, open, sort and distribute incoming mail and collect, prepare, and send outgoing mail
+ Receive, sort, record and deliver packages from UPS, Fed Ex, Amazon, etc daily
+ Keep dock and mailroom organized
+ Stock office supplies throughout the campus
+ Replenish paper at print stations throughout campus
+ Set up/moving of tables, chairs, whiteboards etc. for conference room set ups as needed
+ Support customer service window
+ Identify and make recommendations for process improvements, keep process documentation current
+ Weekly sorting of invoices/statements received followed by mailing to 3rd party scanning
+ Weekly mailing of risk management documents accumulated from the mail to EBIX
+ Scanning and emailing of Due Diligence letters to Unclaimed Property as needed
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education**
+ High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent.
**Experience**
+ 0-1 year of experience.
+ Experience with OpenText or similar document management software preferred.
+ Experience with Fed Ex/UPS Package System, United States Postal Service, Document Management or similar preferred.
**Professional Skills**
+ Ability to select and apply standard policies and procedures.
+ Able to resolve routine problems and questions independently.
+ Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to furnish information to those requesting the status of a change.
+ Basic computer proficiency, primarily Microsoft Office.
**Physical Demands**
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
+ Ability to lift up to 50lbs
+ Push loaded mail carts and/or dollies
+ Standing and walking for up to 8hrs/day
