Mailroom Assistant
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Mailroom Assistant to join a team in Plymouth, Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing incoming and outgoing mail processes while maintaining a high level of accuracy. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to contribute to a meticulous services environment. Responsibilities: • Sort, organize, and distribute incoming mail to the appropriate departments or individuals. • Process outgoing mail, ensuring proper postage and timely delivery. • Verify and match checks to the correct accounts before recording them manually. • Maintain legible handwriting and high attention to detail for accurate documentation. • Ensure mailroom equipment is functioning properly and report any issues as needed. • Handle confidential documents with discretion and professionalism. • Collaborate with team members to optimize mailroom workflows and meet deadlines. • Maintain a clean and organized mailroom environment. • Assist in tracking and logging mail deliveries for internal record-keeping purposes. Requirements • Prior experience in mailroom operations or a related role is preferred. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation. • Ability to maintain legible handwriting for manual record-keeping tasks. • Effective organizational skills to manage incoming and outgoing mail efficiently. • Basic understanding of mail processing equipment and procedures. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong communication skills for interacting with colleagues and vendors. • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive materials.
