Description We are looking for a dedicated Mail Services Associate to join our team in Toms River, New Jersey. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of mailroom services, ensuring timely delivery and processing of mail and packages. You will play an essential role in providing excellent customer service while managing mailroom responsibilities with efficiency and attention to detail. Responsibilities: • Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages to the appropriate departments or individuals. • Deliver mail and packages throughout the facility in a timely and organized manner. • Operate and maintain mailroom equipment, including the Pitney Bowes postage machine. • Receive, log, and track incoming packages to ensure accurate delivery records. • Conduct research to resolve issues related to misplaced or undeliverable mail. • Provide courteous and responsive customer service to address inquiries and assist clients. • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations within the mailroom. • Handle lifting of packages weighing up to 50 lbs as part of daily mailroom activities. • Maintain a detail-oriented and business casual demeanor while interacting with stakeholders. • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to mailroom operations. Requirements • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in mailroom services or a related field. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent customer service abilities with a courteous and detail-oriented approach. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while supporting shared goals. • Active listening and problem-solving skills to address mail-related issues effectively. • Capacity to lift and handle packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
