In this role, you'll employ your extensive industry experience, engineering expertise and innovative technics best practices to... **Your role and responsibilities** · Lead & support key aspects of development of new Magnetic Tape Head Technologies. · Expand existing testing capabilities at Tape Head and Tape Drive levels. · Design, Implement and automate infrastructure solutions that support IBM Tape Storage products and infrastructure. · Configure, Manage and allocate tools, testers and other engineering assets to establish product design and performance specifications. **Required technical and professional expertise** · 5+ years of strong, deep knowledge of Physics, electronics, Mechanical engineering, Magnetics and Materials science. · 3+ years of hands-on experience, very solid understanding of Tape Head Interface and electrical testing. · MS Degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering. · Excellent Communications skills. · Experience with Modeling, Matlab and Python software. **Preferred technical and professional experience** PHD degree in Physics IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
