**Job Title: CNC Mill Operator - 3rd Shift**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated CNC Mill Operator for our 3rd shift, offering the opportunity to produce high-quality products in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This full-time role requires proficiency in operating CNC machining centers, changing materials and tools, and ensuring product quality and efficiency. The position operates Monday through Friday from 12am to 7am, with an option to start at 11pm to achieve a 40-hour workweek.
**Responsibilities**
+ Read and accurately interpret internal and customer-provided engineering drawings and setup documents.
+ Efficiently and accurately use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
+ Make necessary adjustments to setups and processes to enhance product quality and efficiency.
+ Determine cutting tool needs and replace them when necessary without causing product loss or damage.
+ Utilize grinding and cutting tools, such as air grinders, drill presses, manual mills, saws, and burr tools.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work environment using 5-S techniques and good housekeeping skills.
+ Determine when to halt production due to quality or safety-related issues.
+ Document 'shop loss' procedures according to company policies.
+ Accurately clock in/out of time and shop orders using the company MRP system.
+ Use adequate lifting equipment or methods to prevent personal injury.
+ Stay informed on all safety-related MSDS information.
+ Follow company procedures for properly extinguishing flammable materials.
+ Maintain knowledge of proper machinery use when handling excessive weight.
+ Perform any other duties as requested by the supervisor or manager.
+ Collaborate effectively with others.
+ Lift up to 50 lbs and participate in all safety training/meetings.
**Essential Skills**
+ Knowledge and experience in CNC machining, particularly in commercial or aerospace manufacturing.
+ Proficiency in basic computer skills.
+ Understanding of G and M codes and their functions.
+ 3 to 5 years of CNC experience with experience in 3, 4, and 5 axis machining.
+ Experience with Mazak equipment is required.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with Makino MAGS, Lathe, and Toyota cells.
+ Ability to perform own setups and runs on CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, and Mazatrol.
+ Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers.

**Work Environment**
You will work in a climate-controlled shop floor with exposure to water-soluble coolants. The environment can be loud, requiring the use of steel toe boots for safety. The facility is equipped with advanced machinery, including 5-axis machining mills and high-speed aluminum machining equipment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
