We are currently seeking a Machinist to join our Boart Longyear team in West Valley, Utah.

Responsibilities2 years heavy duty large product manual machining experience2 years’ operating Horizontal Lathe (manual or CNC)Able to measure parts and do quality checks using inspection toolsSet up and operation of machineryRead blueprints, job orders, tooling instructions, or standard charts to determine specifications and machining proceduresUse of various tools: turning, facing, grooving, cut-off, boringInspecting tooling: micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and templates
Minimum QualificationsHave strong math skillsManual Lathe and Mill experienceCNC Lathes or Mill experience are nice to have but not mandatoryAbility to work with limited supervisionPass a drug screenPass a background checkHave a good driving recordPossess a valid driver’s licenseHigh School diploma, GED or equivalent.
