About This Role

We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for:

Machine Operation:

· Set up and operate various types of machinery, such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines.

· Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency.

Maintenance:

· Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment.

· Report any malfunctions or issues to supervisors.

Safety:

· Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

· Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Documentation:

· Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, production quantities.

· Complete any paperwork or digital entries related to job tasks.

Collaboration:

· Work closely with other machinists, engineers, and production staff to ensure a smooth workflow and address any issues that arise.

· Participate in team meetings and training sessions as needed.

· Willingness and initiative to continue learning different machines and machining methods.

· Ability to pass a background and drug test.

· Ability to abide by Environmental Health Safety standards, which include extremely limited cell phone use during work hours (excluding lunch and breaks).

Qualifications

Qualifications

· Basic understanding of machining tools and equipment.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings.

· Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges.

· Basic math skills, including algebra and geometry.

· Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software can be beneficial.

· The ability to switch priorities when needed.

Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Completion of a machinist training program or apprenticeship is preferred

Experience:

· Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is a plus but not always required for entry-level positions.

· Hands on experience through internships or vocational training programs.

· Automobile mechanical experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to stand for long periods.

· Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

· Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed, up to 70 lbs.
