About the Role:
+ We're looking for an experienced Machinist to join our fast-paced Technical Operations team. In this role, you'll be responsible for manufacturing, repairing, and reworking aircraft parts and components with precision and efficiency. Your craftsmanship will directly support our mission to provide top-quality service to our aviation customers.
What You'll Do:
+ Set up and operate a variety of conventional machines (grinders, lathes, mills, drills) to manufacture and repair aircraft components
+ Work with a wide range of materials including metals, plastics, and composites
+ Interpret blueprints and drawings to produce parts that meet exact specifications
+ Maintain tight tolerances and high quality standards in all work performed
+ Select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and attachments for each job
+ Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality using precision measuring instruments
+ Follow safety protocols and ensure proper handling of all parts and materials
+ Keep machinery clean, maintained, and calibrated for optimal performance
What We're Looking For:
+ Experience: Minimum 3+ years in the aviation industry (machining, repair, or manufacturing)
+ Education: High School Diploma or GED required; A&P license, FCC certification, or military technical training preferred
+ Strong knowledge of lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills
+ Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and parts manuals
+ Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools
+ Detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to work well under pressure
+ Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative, professional attitude
Physical & Work Environment:
+ Shop environment, primarily indoors, with occasional exposure to temperature changes
+ Regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs (with or without assistive devices)
+ Use of PPE (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes) required in designated areas
Additional Requirements:
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (due to federal contract requirements)
+ No relocation assistance available for this position
