Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist and Tool Maker who possesses a strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. This role involves troubleshooting and solving complex mechanical and operational issues while working with precision tools.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance and calling for repairs as needed.Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and operational issues.Prepare and set up raw materials or die sections in the machine.Manufacture, modify, and repair precision tools, jigs, and fixtures according to specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings.Program and run CNC code from provided CAD data using Mastercam.Collaborate with CAD specialists and toolmakers to refurbish, improve, or build spares.Utilize various equipment and tools, including grinders, welding equipment, machining equipment, and overhead cranes.Essential Skills2-5 years of previous work experience in a custom machining shop.Proficient in reading blueprints and sketches.Experience with 3/5 axis CNC operation and programming.Knowledge of SolidWorks, Mastercam or Edgecam, and AutoCAD software.Proficient with Okuma, Siemens, and Heidenheim CNC controls.Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code.Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and supervisors.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

The role requires flexibility to work either shift depending on operational needs, with day shifts from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm and afternoon shifts from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Occasional travel between the Cambridge and Woodstock locations may be required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $76000.00 - $77000.00/yr.
