Machine Shop Supervisor

With a strong commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, they support a wide range of industries including construction, agriculture, and energy. **Position Summary** The Production Machine Shop Supervisor will oversee daily operations of the machine shop, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to safety and quality standards, and timely delivery of machined components. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in machining processes, and the ability to drive continuous improvement. Will oversee up to 20 employees (direct reports) in a machine shop environment that has 12+ CNC Machines. **Key Responsibilities** Supervise and coordinate activities of machinists, CNC operators, and support staff. Plan and prioritize production schedules to meet customer and internal deadlines. Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Train and mentor team members to enhance skills and productivity. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve production issues. Maintain accurate production records and report key performance metrics. Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction. **Skills** CNC, Fabrication, Welding, Blueprint, Industrial, Management skills, Mill, CNC machine, Calipers, Mechanical, Supervision, Lathe, Machining, Weld, CNC mill, Manual, CNC lathe, Blueprint reading **Additional Skills & Qualifications** High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred. 5+ years of experience in a machine shop environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, and manufacturing processes. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision measurement tools.
