Machine Shop Foreman
Job Description We are looking for a highly skilled machinist with 10+ years of experience operating manual and CNC machines to produce precision components who is interested in becoming a Machine Shop Foreman. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. We expect this person to help train and lead junior machinists as well as have previous machine shop leadership experience. Compensation: $80,000 to $90,000 per year annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Skills and Requirements • Experience as a Machine Shop Foreman, Operations Manager, or some sort of leadership role • Experience: Minimum 8-10 years as a machinist in a precision manufacturing environment. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.). • Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret technical drawings and understand GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). • Quality Control: Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. • Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. • Lathes: Okuma OSP P300 Control Lathe, Mazak Lathe with Mazatrol Control • Mills: Siemens Controls, Prototrak Mills (VM and SMX), Fadal Mill • Experience with CNC programming software. • Knowledge of different materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. • Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
