**Job Title: Machine Saw Operator** **Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Machine Saw Operator with at least 2 years of experience in saw operation, preferably within a manufacturing or warehouse setting. The ideal candidate will handle machine operation and inventory control, ensuring materials are cut to meet customer specifications in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong understanding of reading blueprints and utilizing mathematical skills for precise inventory tracking.
**Responsibilities**
+ Apply metal to customer orders and accurately process material according to work order specifications.
+ Ensure processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition.
+ Maintain the processing area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
+ Complete all required information entry accurately.
+ Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
+ Pull, inspect, and verify product before processing.
+ Properly and safely set up equipment to run material to setup note specifications.
+ Process setup notes according to work order specifications.
+ Verify that product meets setup note specifications per written work instructions and record measurements.
+ Communicate with appropriate sales representatives regarding changes or clarification to orders.
+ Perform equipment preventive maintenance.
+ Properly enter/delete material identification tags per written instructions.
+ Perform general clean-up and assist in the packaging of material per written work instructions and work order.
+ Maintain issued measurement equipment in working condition.
+ Properly operate weighing scale and record inspection measurements.
+ Identify, record, and segregate scrap and any non-conforming material.
+ Provide feedback to supervision regarding machine efficiency and product quality.
+ Complete job responsibilities in a manner that ensures safety for oneself and others.
+ Train others when required and assist in activities related to lean and/or quality.
**Essential Skills**
+ High school diploma/GED.
+ Ability to read and write.
+ Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
+ Basic math skills.
+ 2+ years of saw operation experience, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
+ Experience in inventory control, blueprint reading, and using hand-held measuring tools.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Previous warehouse experience, especially in the metals industry.
+ Previous forklift experience.
+ Computer literacy.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.20 - $22.20/hr.
