Machine Saw Operator/ Waterjet Operator
**Job Title: Machine Saw Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Machine Saw Operator to apply metal to customer orders and accurately process material according to work order specifications. The operator will ensure that processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition, and that the processing area is kept orderly. This role requires completing all required information entry accurately and performing any other tasks as assigned. **Responsibilities** + Apply metal to customer orders and process material according to work order specifications. + Maintain processing equipment and area in a safe and clean condition. + Ensure proper setup and operation of equipment to run material per setup note specifications. + Inspect, verify, and process products before processing, ensuring they meet setup note specifications. + Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely and effectively. + Communicate with sales representatives regarding changes or clarifications to orders. + Perform equipment preventive maintenance and general cleanup. + Assist in packaging materials per written instructions and work order. + Identify, record, and segregate scrap and non-conforming materials. + Provide feedback to supervision regarding machine efficiency and product quality. + Train others as required and assist in lean and quality-related activities. + Complete job responsibilities safely, avoiding unsafe situations for self and others. **Essential Skills** + Certification in material handler position. + 2+ years of saw operation experience, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and setup notes. + Proficiency in inventory control, including mathematical tracking and ruler reading. + Experience with forklift and crane operation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED. + Ability to read, write, and perform basic math skills. + Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. + Computer literacy and experience with handheld measuring tools. + Previous warehouse experience, especially in the metals industry, is preferred. **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values safety, efficiency, and quality in a fast-paced environment. The role may involve lifting and carrying items up to 40 lbs and operating machinery safely. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.20 - $22.20/hr.
