Machine Process Engineer
Job Description As a Machine Process Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring the crankshaft production line to ensure that machining and assembly processes meet print tolerances and quality standards. Your primary goal is to ensure that the machines produce high-quality products. You will troubleshoot issues, work closely with the maintenance crew, and provide higher-level technical troubleshooting when necessary. Additionally, you will engage in ongoing projects to support continuous improvement and sustainment efforts. You will track cycles between failures, update the PFMEA, and work with outside vendors to modify and qualify fixtures. This role requires a deep understanding of complex processes, often involving project planning and coordination across multiple departments. You will also be responsible for developing manufacturing processes, tools, equipment, and gauges, exercising a high level of independent judgment and initiative. Skills and Requirements 3+ years of machining experience (e.g., CNC, mills, grinding, lathes, etc.) Must have experience working with complex machines in a manufacturing environment, including gauging, tooling, and equipment. Experience in metal cutting, including knowledge of coolants, fluids, lubricants, and dry cuts. Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) familiarity with the GD&T tolerancing scheme is essential Comfortable with 2nd or 3rd shift:  2nd shift: 2-10 PM (9 hour shifts - 30 mins before/30 mins after shift) 3rd shift: 10-6 PM Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred but not required. background in tooling is a plus.
