What you will be doing as a CNC Extrusion Machine Operator:
You can expect to fabricate aircraft parts using CNC Extrusion Machines, also known as extruders. Your responsibilities include:
Set up and operate CNC Extrusion MachinesReview set up sheets, load cutting tools, and secure vise jaws or holding fixtures to the machine bed while monitoring operations for proper functioningEdit programs as needed to ensure accurate fabricationCollaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to coordinate machine operationsFrequently contact to coordinate machine operations on tool proving and production partsTool UsageUse hand tools (e.g. wrenches, hammers) and precision measuring instruments (e.g. scale, protractors, calipers, and micrometers) for quality controlWhat you need to be successful:
High school education, GED, or a Bronze Level WorkKeys certification is required1-3 years sheet metal fabrication experience OR related experience including 6 months orientation on CNC and/or NC machine operators is requiredWhy join us?
