We are hiring immediately for a Boring Mill Machine Operator.

What you will be doing as a Boring Mill Machine Operator:

In this role, you can expect to machine various aircraft parts. You’ll use the boring technique to enlarge existing holes to precise measurements and surface finish requirements.

Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

Machine Set Up: Prepare and operate boring mills to perform precise machining tasks, using standard tools and equipment to ensure high-quality workProblem Solving: Improvise and alter equipment as needed to complete specific tasks, showing resourcefulness and creativityManage Tools and Equipment: Choose and adjust the right tools and fixtures to make sure operations run smoothly and efficientlyPerform Machining Tasks: Set the correct speeds and feeds for each job, while selecting and fine-tuning cutting tools for the best resultsCheck Measurements: Use measuring tools like micrometers and calipers to ensure all parts are accurate and meet quality standardsWork as a Team: Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate tasks and share ideas, helping to create a supportive and efficient work environment

What you need to be successful:

A high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification is required.3-5 years experience working directly related machine equipment is requiredExperience on a boring mill is required within these 3-5 years of experienceSkills including blueprint reading, advanced shop math, and use of precision measuring instruments is required
