Job Title: Machine Operator
Location: Marston, MO
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 4 Days On / 4 Days Off (swing shift)
Pay: $42,000–$46,000 per year
This position is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used in the rod and stranding production lines. Duties include machine setup, monitoring, basic maintenance, and quality control, as well as material handling and support tasks across both areas of operation. The role ensures compliance with production schedules, specifications, and safety protocols while contributing to efficient and safe plant operations.
Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and monitor coiler and stranding machines according to production schedules and specifications
Feed raw materials into machines and perform minor repairs or part replacements as needed
Monitor product quality and take samples for quality control testing per work instructions
Identify and report equipment or product nonconformities to the Production Leader
Assist with coil identification, movement, and storage using cranes and forklifts
Perform aluminum launder draining and coil transport as required
Conduct pre-operational checks on cranes and forklifts
Carry out housekeeping duties inside and outside the production area
Remove, sort, and dispose of scrap materials according to procedures
Support inventory monitoring and tracking efforts
Assist in the start-up of new or restarted equipment and production lines
Communicate with team members across shifts to ensure smooth transitions and address any issues
Ensure proper documentation and adherence to safety and process standards at all times
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment
