Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator ll for 2nd Shift Fabrication in Asheville. This role involves using high-tech equipment such as press brakes and fiber optic lasers, offering a chance to refine your skills in a cooperative atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Operate and upkeep fabrication machinery like press brakes, fiber optic lasers, and turret punches.Analyze and interpret blueprints to guarantee seamless production of components.Accurately use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, protractors, and squares to establish exact measurements.Strictly adhere to safety protocols and procedures.Willingly cross-train on all machines in the shop to support team versatility.Be willing to work extra hours as needed to achieve production targets and meet deadlines.

Requirements

Demonstrated expertise in running press brakes, fiber optic lasers, and turret punches is a plus.Skill in comprehending and analyzing blueprints.Understanding how to operate measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, protractors, and squares.Strong attention to detail and dedication to producing high-quality work.Being open to working additional hours when necessary to meet manufacturing requirements.Ambitious and collaborative approach to successfully implement production processes.
