Location - Vancouver, WA

Responsibilities:

Ability to bend, stoop, squat, lift, reach, grasp and use repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and fingersMust be able to push, pull, and guide product and machine parts in and out of machinesAvailability to work all hours, all shifts, and over time as required or as requestedMust be able to work in close proximity with other team members working in the same area and/or work alone in specific areasAble to stand for long periods of time within a 12 hour shiftAbility to work around hazardous and volatile chemicalsExerts up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects and be walking, standing, and/or in motion while performing these tasksLifts 26 lbs. wafer cassettes at waste level and place on carts repetitively throughout the 12 hour shiftPushes a cart on wheels weighing approx. 20 lbs, & occasionally up to approx. 400 lbs.Excerpts pressure on robotic equipment buttons and leversHold a vibrating oscillating tool close to body, to cut thru dried slurry in lapping plates, bending forward at waist, occasionally holding tool over the head, or approx. waist level. Cross training into a chemical etching process may eventually be required which may also require the use of a respirator

COGNITIVE:

Follow complex, detailed procedures and to complete documentation per specifications on time and without defectEnsures wafers are processed according to specific customer requirements contained in a computerized work order. Review work orders and set a schedule based on customer required specifications and processing times for each step of the manufacturing processProactive and takes initiative to quickly address machine and/or quality issues or if unable to resolve, notify a team leader, supervisor, trainer, or others at a higher level.Continuously monitor, analyze, and verify that all data and all processes are correct and meet quality, order specifications, weights, calibrations, during each process and after each process is completed, before moving the order on to the next process step.Operate robotic or automated equipment to load, unload, wafers, tools, and/or other equipmentRespond and trouble shoot tool alarmsPerform tasks to clean equipment and the area to meet standards for each manufacturing processMust be able to multi-task and monitor the movement of wafers on multiple tool sets at the same timeAbility to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute percentages and decimals using a calculator, Excel software, or other method.

VISUAL ACUITY:

Ability to prepare/analyze/create data, extensive reading, visual inspection of small parts, errors, defects, fabrication, words, and numbers

QUALITY:

Follows all documented training, procedures, and processes to meet quality standardsReport and take action to prevent or variations, errors, or lapses in qualityEnsures quality issues are reported, corrected, and not repeatedIdentifies and reports suggestions for improvement to supervisor or other appropriate manager.

SAFETY:

Completes all tasks using safe behaviorsPuts safety first and foremost and never puts safety after deadlines, other goals, or tasksActs as a role model in safety with co-workers.Must be highly safety cautious as operators can be subjected to hazards including working in close proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, scaffolding, heights, underground or low depths, and chemicals.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Use a computer keyboard to input data into Excel, track and confirm each process, and complete computerized formsExperienced, proficient, and accurate in the use of a computer, keyboard, and a monitor. - Experience in software use, such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook e-mail, or other similar software is desiredCan operate a calculator, copier, cell phone, and telephone.

Qualifications:

Prior production experience is preferred Strong mathematical aptitude and computer skillsAbility to work well with others Ability to multitask and manage time well

Environment/ Shift:

Operators work 12 hour shifts, 6am to 6pm for Day Shift, or 6pm to 6am for Night Shift, on a compressed workweek alternating 3-ON/4-OFF and 4-ON/3-OFF weekly schedules which require working every other weekend and will likely entail additional overtime days when needed. For the Night Shift, training may begin on a day shift for a few weeks before transitioning to the night shift. Night Shifts receive additional 15% shift differential pay incentive.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.15/hr.
