We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator I to join our production team. This role is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting packaging machinery, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and the ability to lead and train team members on production processes.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor packaging equipment to ensure efficiency and accuracy

Perform mechanical changeovers and preventative maintenance on production machinery

Identify and troubleshoot issues, reporting concerns to the appropriate team members

Conduct quality control inspections to maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards

Lead and train production line personnel in machine operation and workplace procedures

Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to all safety regulations

Ensure compliance with food safety guidelines, including HACCP, FSMA, and SQF

Accurately complete all required documentation for production tracking and quality assurance

Qualifications

Prior experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with attention to detail

Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude

Effective communication and leadership abilities

Familiarity with troubleshooting tools and basic electrical/mechanical systems

Basic computer literacy for operating production systems

Ability to lift and move up to 50-60 pounds as needed
