Responsibilities
Purpose:
The Machine Operator maintains machines to keep production running by performing low level maintenance and basic restarts.
Responsibilities:
Provides continuous machine support by continuously monitoring secondary equipment for uptime efficiency and equipment safety.-Understands Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) impact to effectively communicate to Shift Leader repetitive breakdowns.
-Resolves ongoing machine related problems (full bowls, closing machine restarts, grinder jams and color changes, purge removal from nozzle leaks).
-Performs beginner-level preventative maintenance tasks (reparing coveryor, material jam, cleaning filters).
-Performs material changeovers (ie, color changes, additives, etc.)
-Supply materials to the presses.
-Machine Operators are not authorized to perform start up after a set up."
Restarts Injection Machines for mold protects, intermediate troubleshooting skills.
-Assess beyond mold protect for root cause.
-Fix minor cosmetic issues (burns, string flash).
-Exception may occur with some molds: BOA & IMC Molds are to be started by Techs only.
(Machine Operator are not authorized to access, change/disabling core monitor safety)"
Maintains proper documentation for all materials and machines.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent1 year of experience in manufacturing or injection molding, preferredRegularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.Standing/ walking for long periods of time
