**Machine Operator** **Job Description** Join our dynamic team as a Machine Operator, where you will work in either the grinding department or the pack off department. In the grinding department, you'll handle loading raw materials into the grinding machines, which can weigh up to 75 pounds, monitor machine operations, and perform basic troubleshooting. You will also be responsible for disassembling, cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembling the machine at the start of each shift. In the pack off department, you'll operate Formax and packaging machines and perform basic troubleshooting. **Responsibilities** + Load raw materials into grinding machines and monitor operations. + Perform basic troubleshooting on machinery. + Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble machines at the beginning of each shift. + Operate Formax and packaging machines in the pack off department. **Essential Skills** + 1 year of machine operating experience. + 1 year of experience working with hand and power tools. + Ability to consistently lift 75 pounds. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Food Production Experience is a plus. **Why Work Here?** Be a part of a union with benefits eligibility after 60 days. Receive a 2.5% annual salary increase every January 1st. **Work Environment** Work the 2nd shift from 3:45 PM to 1 AM, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays. Expect to work over 50 hours a week, with overtime pay for any hours worked over 8 per shift. Operate in a GMP Food Production Environment, wearing protective gear such as an overcoat, gloves, hardhat, ear plugs, safety glasses, and non-slip rubber boots. The production floor is refrigerated, maintaining a temperature of 30-40 degrees Fahrenh **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pleasant Prairie, WI. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
