Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator who will be responsible for setting up and operating sheet metal brake presses and tube benders, while adhering to strict safety standards. The role involves forming various parts by following part prints and using different measuring devices.

Responsibilities

Set up and form various metal components of different sizes and types.Understand and manage different tooling configurations with limited guidance.Operate sheet metal brake presses and tube benders effectively.Ensure adherence to safety standards during all operations.

Essential Skills

Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.Knowledge of electrical codes, wiring standards, and safety procedures.Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision and efficiency.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

1+ years of experience in panel wiring, electrical assembly, or a related field.Experience with PLC wiring and troubleshooting preferred.Knowledge of pressure testing procedures, leak detection methods, and chiller systems is a plus.

Work Environment

The position is based in a large, non-temperature controlled plant environment. Employees are expected to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds (non-repetitive), and stoop. Shifts available include A-Shift (6a-6p Friday-Sunday), B-Shift (6p-6a Friday-Sunday), and 2nd Shift (3p-11p Monday-Friday). A and B Shifts work 36 hours but are paid for 40 hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.53 - $26.14/hr.
