**Job Title: Machine Operator**
Job Description
Join our team as a Machine Operator, where you will be responsible for processing titanium sheets through grinders to meet customer specifications. This role involves hands-on work with titanium sheets, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
+ Physically lift and move titanium sheets in and out of the grinders with the help of conveyors, and flip and turn the titanium sheet.
+ Visually self-inspect the sheet surface and use a grinding tool to remove any defects.
+ Use a micrometer and thickness gauge (vidigauge) to check the thickness of the titanium sheet.
+ Perform minor grinder maintenance and periodic cleaning of the grinder and work area.
+ Set up machines and observe machine operation to detect any malfunction and install large belts on grinders.
+ Train precision sheet helpers and grinder operators.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in general labor, production, or manufacturing.
+ Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, tape measures, grinders, and other equipment.
+ Basic knowledge of grinding, deburring, molding machine operation, mechanical processes, extrusion, saw operation, and assembly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Manufacturing experience or experience working in an industrial or outdoor environment.
+ Attention to detail and ability to keep up with the pace of production.
+ Strong work ethic and team-oriented with good communication skills.
+ Previous machine operating experience is a plus.

Work Environment
This position operates on a rotating shift schedule from 6 AM to 6 PM and 6 PM to 6 AM. The work environment is a warehouse and production setting that is not climate-controlled, meaning it can get very hot. This is a team-oriented environment where collaboration is key to achieving shared goals. Once fully trained, you will not be micromanaged and daily schedules offer some flexibility. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required and provided, including metatarsal shoes, safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, hearing protection, hard hat, and chemical-resistant metatarsal boots.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WASHINGTON, Missouri.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.63 - $21.63/hr.
