Job Description
As an Operator I, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high industry standards by producing quality products. You will be responsible for receiving raw materials, collaborating with Quality Control to test materials and products, blending high volume cellulose powder, packaging finished goods, and fostering a safe, productive, and quality-driven atmosphere.
ResponsibilitiesMix high volume cellulose powder into a blender.Monitor manufacturing processes.Shutdown and internally clean the process equipment.Continuously monitor equipment and instrumentation safely with minimal guidance.Ensure all documentation is compliant with cGMP standards.Adhere to safety and quality protocols, including wearing uniforms, hairnets, beard covers, safety glasses, hardhats, and hearing protection.Perform some equipment maintenance and improvements.Identify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities.Perform general tasks as guided by management, such as cleaning and disinfecting work areas.Essential SkillsMachine operating.Proficiency in quality assurance.Documentation skills.Experience in chemical manufacturing and mixing.Mechanical aptitude.Additional Skills & Qualifications1-2 years of job tenure per place of employment.High School Diploma or GED.Proficient math skills.Ability to lift and move 50lbs regularly.Why Work Here?

There are opportunities for advancement to Operator II, Operator III, and Team Leader roles, each with a pay increase. Additionally, a $1/hr shift premium is available for night shift employees.
Work Environment
The facility is climate-controlled to maintain customer specifications for shipped products. The position is on the Starch line with one night shift opening. The shifts operate on a 2-2-3 schedule, with hours from 5:45 AM to 6:15 PM or 5:45 PM to 6:15 AM. The work culture is strong, with a team-oriented environment, and employees often socialize outside of work while maintaining a work-first mentality.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
