Job Description:
The Machine Operator is primarily responsible for working from written work instructions and job specific written procedures to perform assigned tasks. The primary responsibilities of this position include basic machine operations (pressing buttons) and monitoring to operate automatic machinery, that produce small plastic components for the automotive industry. Additionally, this role will require short-distance material handling of raw materials and finished goods.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: may include some of the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Load, start up, and operate molding machines, semi-automatic assembly machines, automatic assembly machines, or manual assembly machines; Shuts down if necessaryPerform Color Changes and Material HandlingPerform visual and functional quality inspection at predetermined intervals to assure product quality meets standards Material handling, monitoring of auxiliary equipment, and minor maintenance requiredPerform gaging as necessary to assure product meets dimensional standardsCorrectly label products and palletize for transfer to next operationMaintain accurate documentation to meet job requirementsCommunicate with prior and oncoming shifts to achieve production requirements and promote awarenessCommunicate any Machine/Quality issues immediately to supervisorPromote safety by abiding to all related policies and procedures of ITW Seat ComponentsFollows all procedures as outlined by ISO 9001, OSHA and IATF 16949.Complete all additional tasks, as assignedPOSITION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrior experience in Manufacturing; experience working in plastic injection molding is a plusBasic math skills and reasoning abilityMust be able to stand / walk for a full manufacturing shift Able to lift to 55 lbs. occasionally, with or without assistanceTeam player with good attitude and strong work ethicGood Communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.Take this opportunity to join a successful global team that offers exceptional opportunities in your career development. Compensation Information:
19.90 with a 10% shift premium
