Machine Operator - 1st & 2nd Shift
Objective
We are seeking dedicated Machine Operators to join our manufacturing team and contribute to our production excellence. This position involves operating specialized equipment to process materials according to customer specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and a strong commitment to teamwork while working in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
+ Operate cutting equipment including slitters and die cutters to process materials according to work order specifications
+ Set up machinery configurations based on technical drawings and customer requirements with guidance from supervisors
+ Execute production runs while maintaining consistent quality standards and meeting output targets
+ Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify product dimensions and ensure compliance with specifications
+ Document production activities through maintaining accurate logs, records, and quality reports
+ Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and management to optimize workflow and productivity
+ Interpret technical drawings and work instructions to determine proper machine setup and processing parameters
+ Monitor equipment performance during operation and report any irregularities or maintenance needs
+ Follow all established safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements when appropriate
+ Adapt to changing production priorities and work assignments as business needs require
+ Communicate effectively with team members in various noise levels typical of manufacturing environments
Requirements
+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred
+ Ability to read and comprehend work instructions, technical drawings, and safety documentation
+ Strong verbal communication skills for effective collaboration in a team-based environment
+ Basic mathematical skills and ability to use standard measuring tools including rulers with precision
+ Fundamental computer literacy for data entry and accessing work order systems
+ Demonstrated reliability and consistent attendance record in previous employment
+ Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various machine types and production processes
+ Ability to work effectively under supervision while following detailed instructions
+ Capacity to stand for extended periods throughout the shift with occasional squatting and kneeling
+ Physical ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 25 pounds regularly throughout the shift
+ Capability to handle materials weighing up to 40 pounds approximately 40% of the time
+ Strength to lift items up to 50 pounds with assistance up to 25% of the time
+ Manual dexterity required for blade setup, material handling, and operating precision measuring devices
+ Color vision capability to distinguish between different material colors and product specifications
+ Ability to communicate effectively in manufacturing environments with varying noise levels
+ Preference for hands-on work and mechanical aptitude
+ Entry-level candidates welcome with strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
+ Previous manufacturing experience valued but not required for qualified candidates
