Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description

The individual in this role will assist with setups, setup, or learn to setup and run press brakes within the fabrication department. The machines are primarily Cincinnati, Amanda, and other metal forming machines such as LVD Strippit turrets.

ResponsibilitiesOperate press brake machines effectively and efficiently.Assist with the setup of machines and learn to perform setups independently.Run metal forming machines including Cincinnati, Amanda, and LVD Strippit turrets.Read and interpret blueprints for accurate machine operation.Use mechanical aptitude to ensure precision in machine operation.Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.Understand bends and allowances to maintain quality standards.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years of press brake experience, including light setup or tool changes.Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools for inspection.Strong knowledge of bends and allowances.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Additional Skills & QualificationsMechanical aptitude and familiarity with machine operation.Experience in assembly and laser operation is advantageous.Why Work Here?

There is an onsite training program with a Dunwoody instructor who teaches associates weekly on equipment programming and setup. A 4-year apprenticeship program is available for those aspiring to become journeyman sheet metal workers. The position is on the 2nd shift, from 3:30 pm to 2 am, Monday through Thursday, with a $2/hr shift differential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fridley, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
