We are looking for a skilled **Industrial Maintenance Technician** to join our team in New Bedford. In this role, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and equipment involving mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
**Pay: 30.50**
**Hours: 3rd shift M-F**
**Key Responsibilities**
+ **Troubleshooting & Repair (50%)** Diagnose, repair, and rebuild mechanical assemblies—manual or automated—including electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
+ **Preventive Maintenance (20%)** Perform scheduled maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
+ **Problem Isolation (20%)** Identify sources of equipment issues using prints, schematics, and collaboration with operators, engineers, and vendors.
+ **Fabrication & Support (10%)** Conduct basic welding, plumbing, and machining tasks as needed.
Additional duties include maintaining accurate work records in a computerized maintenance system and monitoring spare parts inventory.
**Qualifications**
+ **Education:** Trade school diploma preferred
+ **Experience:** Minimum 3 years in industrial equipment repair
+ **Technical Skills:**
+ Proficiency in mechanical repair techniques
+ Knowledge of plumbing and piping
+ Universal Refrigeration License required
+ Ability to read blueprints and schematics
+ Basic knowledge of electronic controls
+ Familiarity with safe work practices
**Requirements**
+ Own trade-related tools
+ Ability to operate hoisting/lifting devices (cranes, jacks, tractors)
+ Competence in troubleshooting power transmission, vacuum, and pneumatic systems
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to obtain forklift, pallet-jack, and/or man-lift license
**Additional Skills**
+ Computer literacy for maintenance systems
+ Basic math and measurement skills
Ability to use machine tools (drills, lathes, millers)
